Where do You Put Your Face Mask When You're Done?
We have all been living through a very trying time. No matter where you are on the planet you have heard of Corona and Covid19. It has forced a lifestyle change for many of us around the world. Although there have been places where the environment has recovered or healed slightly from lack of use and reduced traffic, there is a new dilemma that has developed due to these trying times.

It has been (and still may be) MANDATORY in many places to wear face masks when leaving home. Why do so many people choose not to dispose of them properly? In a time when we are all practicing social distancing, good hygiene, consistent hand-washing, and many other safe practices, how can people be so careless about the proper disposal of personal-use face masks? Why is this so demonstrably unimportant? These masks belong in the trash receptacle. It shouldn’t be a difficult decision.
But that is not all….

Really? It’s bad enough these things are not even remotely recyclable and take hundreds of years to break down, what is so difficult about putting them in the bin? Covid19 aside, these pose a HUGE risk to society and the environment! This sadly seems to be a new trend, and it’s happening EVERYWHERE! Why?? These are also easy to dispose of properly. Just find a bin and put them in! Easy Peasy!
I have been plogging for years and, recently have picked up more than my share of gloves and masks. If you see these around your neighborhood, and since you probably have gloves on you, please pick them up! Of course, be safe as always. Use good safety measures, protect yourself, and do what you can to clean up your corner of the world and keep our planet healthy. And by all means, if you see someone dropping their masks, speak with them about it!
I will leave it to you to deliver that message in whatever way you choose!
